Looked like the lanes must have had a lot of extra oil so they decided to use it up tonight. I didn't have a bad 1st game (211) but the carry down the next two game hurt everyone I saw and talked to that had any kind of hook, my ball would start out looking good then fizzel out so when I did hit the pocket (rarely) nada, squat, diddly. !65 & 166 for the next two games with only two opens each game (two splits and two chops). I switched to a ball the goes straighter but hits hard (Columbia Power Torq) and tried to go straighter to the 1-3 pocket, but seeing as I don't normally have to use that line to the pocket I was really inconsistant. I see something I need to practice on which is one good thing that came out of tonight!! The people throwing a straighter ball had a good night but anyone throwing a hook both rightie's & lefties had bad 2nd and 3rd games

Oh yeah, our 4th bowler didn't show again tonight and we lost  2 out of three again.

I haven't been checking back here as often as i should and I apologize! i'll try to get on it a lot more frequently...here is one of things I have been actually getting back into. A friend and her husband both fly small aircraft and she offered me a ride in their little two-seater, right after describing their latest adventure the previous weekend: The engine had stalled at 5000ft forcing her to husband put it into a steep dive to stop them belly flopping on the ground. He managed to restart it at 2000ft, but it had been a tiresome journey made more difficult by a thick blanket of fog over the runway. They'd had to land on instruments, so it was lucky her husband had been at the controls as she was still five lessons short of qualifying in the manoeuvre. So, anyway, would I like to come along sometime?

Hmmm. The last time I had been up in anything smaller than a jet airliner, I was at Uni. and signing up to the Gliding Club. Two potentially fatal tow-rope breaks latter - the second coming shortly after the instructor had given me his stirring ‘get back on the horse' speech, and I vowed to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground.

I politely declined but left it open to be asked again, (preferably when she has passed all her exams). Fortunately, she has not repeated the offer. I expect it was my expression that gave it away, the same one used by the rabbit when I open the patio door and we're confronted by torrential rain and the garden doing its best impression of the Mississippi delta in full flood:

You gotta be kidding me! You want me to go out in that?

     Survivor Series will be in John Cena's hometown of Boston,Mass. at the TD Banknorth Center. Now that he is featured on the promotion poster, how significant of a role will he play at the PPV? Your thoughts/opinions are welcome.

Well it has been quite a while since we've been back on the site...losing the perfect wedding contest was pretty crushing. Financially an engagement and getting married is litterally impossible, and this was our one shot. It wasn't about the wedding to us it was about the marriage...but unfortunately dreams aren't enough to buy a ceremony.  As you probably know from reading past posts to our group page, I decided to stay in California with Mr. A when the family all seemed to head to different parts of the south. It's just Aldo and I out here in California, experiencing this crazy thing called young love day by day. At the time we found out we didn't make finals we were soooo upset! Our interview went through our heads over and over and over again, and we constantly were telling each other what we really wish we had said to those judges. We didn't feel like we got enough of a chance to show them our true colors. Who knows, maybe everything does happen for a reason. As it turns out, my brother is being deployed again very soon and my parents have run into some serious financial hardships. Getting my family here in such a short amount of time would be nearly impossible! I don't know why things happen the way they do, but  I believe everything truly does have its reason. To us, we aren't the only two getting married, it's two families becoming one and the start of so many beautiful memories in the future. So congratulations to the winning couple and may it be all that you've ever dreamed for. One day it will be our turn and it's safe to say we would both wait an eternity to get the chance to one day share our vows, share a name and share a life together.

I am an active, busy, grandmother of 5. I am the volunteer curator of our local museum, The Cresco Station Museum, a refurbished rail road station. I'm not sure how I ever found time to work; retired school librarian, because I keep very busy now.

 RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWN TOUR TOGETHER DOWN UNDER

Singing stars and sweethearts Rihanna and Chris Brown are headed Down Under. The two will kick off a tandem tour of New Zealand and Australia, beginning October 27th in Auckland. The tour will start with three dates in New Zealand, and then through Australia's Sydney, Bondall, Melbourne, wrapping up in Perth on November 11th.

• Rihanna continues to promote her CD, Good Girl Gone Bad, which features the worldwide hit "Take A Bow."

• Brown is supporting his 2007 set, Exclusive, featuring his "Take You Down."

MICHELLE WILLIAMS SAYS UP-TEMPO TONE OF 'UNEXPECTED' WAS MOM'S IDEA

Michelle Williams says that she was working on her new solo CD for about two years and had come up with a collection of "bitter and sad" R&B songs inspired by a recent breakup. When she played it for her mother, Mama had another idea. "She was like, 'It's all right. You have nothing on here for people to dance to.' She so let me have it," the former Destiny's Child singer told the Houston Chronicle.

Williams, who has released two inspirational solo disks, decided to scrap all but two of the songs and instead came up with dance-floor-ready tunes for her brand new set, Unexpected.

• "It was like my mother gave me the permission to just make a fun album, not to be so serious," Williams says. "Happiness is a choice, so I choose to be happy."

• Unexpected includes the Number One dance and club tune "We Break The Dawn."

• Williams is also releasing two new singles to different formats. The ballad "The Greatest" is going to urban outlets, while "Hello Heartbreak," which Williams says was inspired by Annie Lennox, is headed to the clubs.

NE-YO TEAMING WITH MARILYN MANSON

Singer and songwriter Ne-Yo, who has written dozens of tunes for artists from Celine Dion to Beyonce to Mary J. Blige, is reportedly going to collaborate with quirky rocker Marilyn Manson. Ne-Yo says that he was approached by Manson's people after he boasted in a media interview that he's so flexible, he could even write a song for the rocker.

• "It's going to be interesting," Ne-Yo told EOnline.com. "I have no idea what we're going to do, what it's going to sound like. Just Ne-Yo and Marilyn Manson in the same room -- we're going to figure something out."

• Ne-Yo, who writes under his real name, Shaffer Smith, explained recently that frequently finding time to write hits for others can be a challenge: ["In a perfect world I'd like to sit down with every artist that I write for and have a general conversation where I can see what makes them tick, see how their mind works so I can write a song that's really custom-made for them. But I don't always get to do that, sometimes I have to shoot around in the dark and hope I hit the mark. Sometimes it gets a little difficult but, you know, I work it out for the most part."

• Ne-Yo has just released his third solo album, The Year Of The Gentleman, featuring the dancefloor jam "Closer."

KENNY LATTIMORE TO SING AT 'DIVAS SIMPLY SINGING'

Singer Kenny Lattimore is back with a brand-new solo album called Timeless on the Verve label. The project finds the beloved R&B/pop singer performing a variety of lesser-known tunes by favorite artists, from Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway to Elton John and the Beatles. Lattimore's current single is a version of Michael Henderson and Norman Connors' "You Are My Starship."

• The artist, who is married to fellow singer Chante Moore, has first hit the R&B charts with tunes "Never Too Much" and the wedding favorite "For You" from his 1996 self-titled debut.

• This weekend Lattimore will be one of the few male performers at Divas Simply Singing, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph's annual AIDS fundraiser in Los Angeles. The event, set for Saturday (October 11th) at the Wilshire Theater, will also feature a who's who of singers.

• Two days before the event, Lattimore admitted he wasn't sure what he would perform: ["I don't know yet. I think Sheryl Lee Ralph, she'll choose the song. If I know it. I gotta make sure that I can nail it. But I think that she actually likes the Marvin Gaye, 'That's The Way Love Is.' Because it'll bring everything up. You know, again, people are used to me singing the ballads, and I thought I'll definitely have 'For You' prepared because we have a very dramatic, showstopper version of that song now. But I think she might want me to do a little something up-tempo, do something a little different."
